It was thrills and glitz as the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Frank Archibong gave out her sister, Miss Emediong Archibong to her heart throb Pastor Jacob Udoeyen from Ikot Okwot in Nsit Ubium LGA in marriage.
The traditional marriage ceremony took place yesterday, Friday 10th December, 2021 at Qua Iboe Church field, Mission Road, Ikot Ibiok, Eket LGA.
In his remarks, Mr Archibong urged the newly married couple to love one another and embrace peace in order to have a successful and blissful union.
He noted that peace is one of the essential ingredients needed to thrive in every aspect of our society.
Mr Archibong thanked all those who turned up to honour and celebrate with the family and prayed God to grant them journey mercies back to their various destinations.
The marriage ceremony attracted prominent personalities, including Members of the State Executive Council, political leader of Eket Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Chief Nduese Essien, Political Leader of Esit Eket, Elder Ben Udobia, Secretary of the Maintain Peace Movement/Chairman, Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA) Prince Enobong Uwah, Federal and State lawmakers, Chairman, forum of Chapter Chairmen, Hon. Elder Eddy Etanganga, Chairmen of Local Government Council, leadership and Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), Aides to the Governor, traditional Rulers, Women and youth support groups.
