… commends Morgan Ekanem at daughter’s dedication

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has charged young people to be diligent and committed to their daily endeavours in order to fulfill dreams.

Governor Eno gave the charge during the dedication of baby Blossom Morgan Ekanem, daughter of Barr Morgan Ekanem, his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties, at Victory Chapel, University of Uyo Township Campus, Uyo.

Making reference to the impressive services rendered by Ekanem to his administration, the Governor said “We are here to celebrate a man who has shown diligence in what God has given him to do.

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men,” the Governor, who described Ekanem’s dedication and commitment to service delivery as impressive and remarkable, added.

“Morgan is doing well. He has always been there for me to get things done. He is my facilitator. If I need something done and wants speed attached to it, I’ll just call Morgan, and he would deliver as expected.”

He encouraged young people to stand out through excellence in their responsibilities, stressing that doing so would attract patronage, enhance their livelihoods, and promote positive development in society

The Governor congratulated Ekanem and wife for the blessings of God upon the family and especially, for the gift of a child, and prayed God’s continued goodness and grace upon them.

In his remark, Barr Ekanem commended Governor Eno for  his presence at the occasion, and thanked him for giving him the opportunity to work with him.

Preaching on the theme: “You and your mother,” culled from Proverbs 31:27, Rev. Iniobong Udoh acknowledged the importance of mothers to the family and the society, and urged children, fathers, and husbands to cherish, care, and celebrate mothers for their positive contributions to the society.

Rev. Udoh noted that mothers protect and preserve the destinies of their children for generational growth and fulfillment, of their inbuilt capacity for discernment.

He admonished children to always obey and listen to their mothers’ advice and guidance, and encouraged fathers and children to always partner with mothers to build better families.

High-point of the service was the dedication of baby Blossom Morgan Ekanem, as the parents appreciated God for His mercies and benevolence on them and their family.

At the event were the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi; Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Obareki; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong; Chief Delivery Advisor/Executive Assistan, Mr. Aniefiok Johnson; members of the State Executive Council; Local government Chairmen, political stalwarts; members of the clergy; and other government functionaries.
