Breaking: A’Ibom Village Chief Expose Udom Emmanuel

Governor UDOM Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, like any other mortal man has several weaknesses. This should not be surprising because he is but flesh, made from the earth and susceptible to the man’s fallen state.

And from what we know from modern psychology, one of the ways to know who a man really is, what his character is made of, is to give him money and power. A man’s most innermost nature manifests when he has money and power.

If he claimed to be humble and acted humble all his life, once you give him money and power and you will not see him exhibit humility if that was never his character.

(UN)Fortunately our Governor is but a man and he is no super human and it has come to the open that his weaknesses start with a C:

  1. Construction – Our state is one massive construction site with projects scattered across the length and breadth of the State. Construction of industrial Complexes that will take our dependence away from Oil revenue has been his top priority with the establishment of numerous industries in the State.
  2. Churches, Clergy and Christianity have all enjoyed great patronage from this governor as he is physically present during Church gatherings which is always accompanied with cash donations (usually never announced). Under his direction an International Worship Center is under Construction in the heart of Uyo metropolis by Construction giant Julius Berger.
  3. His avowed commitment to Continuity has seen the completion of projects previous governments did not complete. One of such Critical projects is the Activation of a Commercial Airline Ibom Air, for the Victor Attah International Airport, an airline which has revitalised the ailing aviation industry and has just been awarded the Best Airline for 2021.
  4. His determination to Complete all projects initiated during his tenure has informed his focus on the Completion Agenda. Several projects are in final stages of completion like the new Airport terminal Complex and Ring road III.
  5. Civil Servants salaries, leave grants and pensions have continued to be paid even when there have been zer0 allocation from the Federal Government. With an economy that has failed and discourages progress, he has brought his financial wizardry to bear in this wonder of the world. Since he came into office Civil Servants get paid monthly as at when due like Clockwork or Japanese train.
  6. Chiefs have not been left out. Deacon Udom Emmanuel’s Government built a befitting ultra modern Complex for the Council of Chiefs. Two months ago he approved an increase in the stipends of Royal Fathers without fanfare. This came as a surprise as it was never announced and one thinks the biting economic woes necessitated the increment to support Traditional Rulers to keep the peace in their respective domains. That is not all. Just last month all Chiefs have been enrolled in a life insurance policy such that when they join their ancestors, the insurance company pays their next off kin. The significance of this master stroke achievement isn’t far fetched. Families of Chiefs will no longer be burdened with the huge burden of burying the Monarch as is the case, as the life policy will pay out the funds that will take care of the cost of rites of burial. Many Chiefs have been buried one to two years after their demise simply because the family could not fund the burial.

This quick thinking Governor deserves much Commendation and am certain Royal Fathers like myself will give 110% Commitment to his Choice succession plan.
