AKS INFO BOSS CHARLES UDOH BAGS MENTAL HEALTH AMBASSADOR AWARD

 

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh has added another feather to his already decorated cap with his conferment with the Mental Health Ambassador Award.

The award which is given in recognition of the contributions of the Information Boss to the successful hosting of the “Sacrificial Lamb” Arts exhibition recently held at the National Arts Gallery in Uyo, the State capital was presented to Charles Udoh in his Shelter Afrique residence in Uyo over the weekend.

Presenting the Award, on behalf of the Organizers of the exhibition, Messers Udeme Okonno and Ekpedeme Akpan, expressed deep appreciation to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh, for being a role model to budding and up-coming Artists and for his moral and cash support for the “Sacrificial Lamb” Arts exhibition.

The organizers who also presented an art work purchased by the Commissioner to him said, his physical presence at the exhibition added pep to the occasion and prayed the good Lord to grant the Information Boss good health and successes as he steers on the Information machinery of government.

Udoh who said he was humbled at the gesture of the young Artists expressed with pride that, the exhibition was a huge success and pledged his readiness to collaborate with artists for future events in the state.

He disclosed that, as an artist himself, he is targeting the hosting of a personal arts exhibition in demonstration of his passion for his career in arts in a future date and urged other young people in the state, to emulate the duo, Udeme Okonno and Ekpedeme Akpan in paving a commendable industrious path of living in any field or discipline for the betterment of their lots.

It could be recalled that, Charles Udoh who has continued to endear himself to youths in the State and beyond with his numerous contributions towards youth empowerment and the wellbeing and healthy condition of the less privileged in the society, was recently at St. Luke’s Hospital Anua, Uyo, to pick-up the medical bills of a baby born without anus.

This gesture which has attracted numerous accolades and commendation to the Commissioner is in addition to the various awards won by Charles Udoh from different groups and organizations within and outside the country including the Trans Africa Students Initiative Award, the Niger Delta Peace Ambassador Award and the Nigeria Institute of Leadership and Management Award among others.
