THE AKWA IBOM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TAXI OPERATORS (AKIATO) PAID A COURTSEY VISIT TO THE OFFICE OF THE VICE CHAIRMAN, UYO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, CONFERS ON HIM THE GRAND PATRON OF THE ASSOCIATION AND AN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN HUMANITARIAN SERVICES

Speaking on behalf of the association was the chairman Mr. Nse Effiong Nyong represented by the vice chairman. The vice Chairman congratulated Ukai Hon. Udeme Emmanuel (Amb. P.) on his election and swearing in as the Vice Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area. He noted that AKIATO is a body that coordinates the activities of registered taxi operators in Akwa Ibom International Airport, and they have been in existence for the past nine years with no bad records attached to them.

The vice Chairman of the association appreciated Ukai Udeme Emmanuel (Amb. P.) for his efforts in ensuring that the government of his Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is taken to another height. He expressed joy seeing thousands of youths being employed under the Akwa Ibom Afon Ama Initiative which houses the Udom Crowd Saftey Squad, Udom Traffic Control and Udom Aduk Efaak group, he noted that he has not seen this kind of patriotic citizen whose aim is not to squander but to make sure that every citizen of Akwa Ibom State has something doing. He thanked the grassroot mobilizer for living no stone unturned especially in mobilizing votes for his excellency.

The vice Chairman AKIATO noted that Ukai Hon Udeme Emmanuel is a special figure concerned with people’s welfare and alleviation of suffering of the people. In that same vein, the vice Chairman AKIATO together with other members of the association, conferred on Ukai Hon Udeme Emmanuel (Amb. P.) the patron of the association and also presented to him an award of Excellence in Humanitarian Services.

In line with ensuring that his Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel returns to the hilltop mansion, the vice Chairman of AKIATO informed the Vice Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area of the sensitization of their members and other youths around the airport on the need to own a permanent voters card in other to be able to vote back good governance.
The Vice Chairman responded by giving thanks to God for the life he has given to us.

He appreciated their effort in ensuring the safety of Luggage, and lives of visitors that make use of our airport. He noted that through that act of benevolence shown towards visitors and indigenes that make use of the airport, it has been possible for his Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel to fast track development and ensure that his industrialization agenda for Akwa Ibom State is achieved because Akwa Ibom State has been termed one of the safest state in Nigeria and this has brought about influx of visitors into the state all because of the humility, love, and hard work shown by the Akwa Ibom State international airport taxi operators.

He expressed joy and happiness towards the association for giving him the opportunity to oversee the progress of the association by being appointed their patron, he assured them that he will do everything possible to make sure that the association is recognized in the state. The Vice Chairman applauded their effort in ensuring that the gospel of his Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel is preached at the airport by their Voters Card sensitization program, he advised them not to face the airport only but to make sure that the gospel of his excellency is taken to the villages so that everybody in Akwa Ibom State will feel the impact of His Excellency Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

Ukai Hon. Udeme Emmanuel (Amb. P.) accepted the award of excellence presented to him by the association with great joy and urged them to stay in peace and avoid anything that will shatter the image of the association.
