Akwa Ibom State commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Mr Frank Archibong has called on Nigerian youths to rally round and support Mr John Obot effort’s at setting a new world record for the longest read aloud session.
Archibong stated this, Monday while at Watbridge Hotel in company of the State Deputy Governor, Dr Akon Eyakenyi, Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah and other top dignitaries across the State who visited the venue of the event to offer moral support to the record seeking John Obot.
Speaking to newsmen, Archibong lauded the performance so far recorded by Mr Obot, saying that his ( Obot) performance is another testament to what an average Akwa Ibom youth can achieve with determination.
He further encouraged youths to throw more support for him, adding that a win for Obot is a win for Akwa Ibom and Nigeria.
Recall that John Obot, a teacher had some days ago set out to break an existing record for the longest read aloud which currently stands at 124 hours and held by Kyrgyzstan’s Rysbai Isakov.
Obot intends to set a new world record of 150 hours.
