As the global crusade by Deeper Life Bible Church begins tomorrow, Thursday November 25, 2021, the General Superintendent, Pastor W. F Kumuyi has arrived Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital in readiness to unravel the Wonders of the Cross.
Speaking with journalists shortly after his arrival at the Victor Attah International Airport, Pst Kumuyi noted that the crusade has been a remarkable experience as many lives have been transformed across the world.
He recounted the numerous testimonies recorded thus far globally by the event, stressing that it has been a transformational encounter.
According to him, “people have been healed, delivered, saved, and lives turned around, I believe that those individuals and their families have got a tangible result.
“Take for example, a person who have been drunk and not profitable to himself and his family, his life turned around and he became sober and now living a normal life and currently a good father and member of the community, that is a tangible result for that man, and we can multiply that all over the world.
“We have had testimonies from the United State of America, UK, and different parts of Europe and Africa, what great things the Lord has done for individuals and families and for little children. The trauma that the parents have gone through and the Lord removed everything just in a moment of time, I will say yes that He has given us good tangible results in communities, and now we look forward for expansion of such results,” he added.
PST Kumuyi said the Global Crusade is to exalt Christ for what He has done for humanity through the wonders of the Cross; salvation, healing, deliverance, breakthrough, and others, adding that it will avail the people the opportunity to know and experience the wonders of the cross.
When asked of the seeming increase in social crime rate amidst evidential increase in propagation of the Gospel, he said, “I am sure you know that when one person does evil, different platforms including the internet is used to publicize it, it becomes more pronounced than when a hundred people are quietly living a good life. So generally we don’t see the positive, we don’t see the hundreds or thousands of people who are living their normal, quiet and profitable life for the country but we seem to highlight the evil that the few people are doing but we will keep on preaching the gospel believing that as God loves everyone, the good, the bad and the ugly, that God will bring in more people that will be profitable for the country.
“We may not be able to stamp out evil completely from every country, but the more good people arise and also speak forth, I believe that things are going to be better for each of the countries, and for our country and for Akwa Ibom State in particular.
He therefore invited everyone to be part of the crusade and experience the Wonders of the Cross.
On hand to receive the GS on behalf of the Government of Akwa Ibom State were members of the State Executive Council including; the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umo Eno, Pastor Sunny Ibuot, Dr Idongesit Etiebet, Mrs Enobong Mbobo and others who were led by the Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien.
