PAT IFON TRAINS CONSTITUENTS ON ICT

Committed to substantiate his resolve in building technical capacity and to further create independency amongst the youths, the Member representing Eket/ Esit Eket/ Ibeno/ ONNA Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Patrick Ifon has commenced ICT training for his constituents.

The 3 Months training is in line with the state governments priority in developing the ICT sector is undertaken by APTECH COMPUTERS, a leading 21st century ICT expert with top notch innovation that competes across the globe.

Speaking during the inaugural training session today at Aptech Computer Education Center in Uyo, the member of parliament, who was represented by his aide on media, Edet Edet, stated that it is the first phase of the training, which is in partial fulfilment of his electioneering promises to create technical capacity amongst the youths of his federal constituency.

Ifon said that there is a great need to ensure that the youths are technically positioned in preparation for job openings in the oil and gas sector, hence his decision to impact lives through trainings in the ICT.

“We want to join His Excellency, Governor Emmanuel to build technical capacity that will create independency amongst the youths of our federal constituency”

“What we are doing is to ensure that while our youths are waiting for job openings in the oil and gas sector, they are vested with the technical knowledge that can sustain their family and empower others in the course of waiting” – ifon said.

The member of parliament made known to the participants that he has facilitated and recieved equipment from the Ministry of Niger Delta for the establishment of an ICT center in Eket, and that the best beneficiary will head the facility.

Ifon narrated further that although the training is capital intensive, the benefit thereafter is worth the investment, and urged the beneficiaries to sieze the opportunity as one that should be used to change their fortune, enhance their technical prowess and empower others.

While explaining the modules of the training, the Business Head of APTECH COMPUTERS, Mr. Inibehe Otoh, said that the course the participants are going to undergo is titled ” Aptech Certified Hardware Specialist”.

Otoho described the course to be an international certified course that will enable participants to be able to repair and solve any malfunctioned mobile phone, tablets, laptops, and desktops on completion.

He stated further that there are vast opportunities for the trainees on completion of the course in different organization’s, stressing that APTECH is an innovative ICT professional in the country.

Otoho maintained that at the end of the course, the trainees will undergo a seminar on business start ups to enable them become self employed and that the sponsor of the program has made payments for their startup packs which include, laptops, tool box, etc.
He urged the beneficiaries to see the opportunity as a privilege to establish themselves with the international hardware certification.

Speaking on behalf of the ten (10) beneficiaries, Mr. Victor Akpan, expressed their gratitude to the Federal lawmaker for finding them worthy to be beneficiaries of this wonderful and great initiative.

Akpan siad that the beneficiaries will live to the expectation of the lawmaker and will deliver excellently to boost ICT in the state.
