OSUN SENATORIAL ELECTION WAS A LITMUS TEST FOR PDP

-The victory just recorded by PDP in the senatorial election in Osun State is a demonstration of love Nigerians have for PDP and it means PDP will have their way soon to the Aso Villa.

Governor Udom while addressing the Government House Media team on arrival from the expanded PDP caucus meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, said that the party is now more focused under the leadership of the Senator Ahmed Markaafi-led National Caretaker Committee.

Gov Emmanuel disclosed the party has fixed August 12 for its special convention that will address key special areas of the party.

“I want to believe we are on the right track. We will soon publish the timetable of activities of what we want to do and set few records straight.”

He said most of the development projects in the country have come under the PDP leadership, adding that his party was ready to provide Nigerians with the type of people-oriented leadership they desire.

The Governor sited his own state, Akwa Ibom as an example of a visionary leadership by the PDP, adding that it was a strong reason for people to remain happy with the party.

He commended Nigerians for their patience since the botched convention in Port Harcourt last December, and expressed appreciation to the judiciary for resolving the impasse within the party.

Gov Emmanuel said from the turnout at the enlarged caucus meeting in Abuja on Monday, it was obvious that the period of crises has only made the party stronger.
