Arrangements have been concluded for the 135th National Conference of the United Evangelical Church hosted by the Uyo Area Conference with the theme: “More Great Things of Gladness”.
The four-day annual conference begins this week Thursday 8th December to Sunday 11 December 2022 at United Evangelical Church 165 Aka Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Akwa Ibom State Executive Governor, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel will be the Special Guest of Honour at the opening ceremony holding on Saturday 10th December 2022 at 9am.
The Wife of the Governor, Dr. Martha Emmanuel will grace the opening ceremony as Guest of Honour while the Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Judiciary, Rt. Hon., Barrister Onofiok Akpan Luke will chair the opening ceremony. The Chairman of Conference, United Evangelical Church, Rev (Dr.) S. U. Ebukiba will preside over the conference expected to be attended by 750 delegates from all over Nigeria and other African countries and the United Kingdom. The Chairman Local Organizing Committee of the conference, Rev Ema Ebong in a release explains that council meeting will hold Friday, December 9, 2022, at 9am.
Rev Ebong states that the conference will be rounded off with a special Anniversary Thanksgiving service on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 8am with over three thousand worshipers. According to Rev Ebong, the conference will feature ordination of ministers, Holy communion, special prayers for the church, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, the 2023 general elections and leaders at all levels.
The LOC Chairman, Rev Ema Ebong and the Host Area Chairman, Rev (Dr.) Usen Umoh therefore invite members of the Board of Trustees of United Evangelical Church worldwide, delegates, members of the state Executive council, members of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, the Hon. Chief Judge and other invited guests to the opening ceremony and assured the participants of God’s abundant blessings.
